We begin with Ulta trek where you will learn the skills needed to successfully climb to beautiful valley of ishinca as Ishinca and Tocllaraju.
Program:
Day 1: Travel to Huaraz. Hotel night
Day 2: Huaraz: An acclimatization and organization day in Huaraz.
Day 3: Huaraz _Cashapampa (2900mt) _ Llamacorral at (3760mt)
Depart Huaraz and drive to the small village of Cashapampa to meet your donkeys and begin your trek up the beautiful Santa Cruz Valley.
Day 4: Llamacorral _Visit Base Camp Alpamayo _Taullipampa at (4100mt)
We continue the trek by the broad and flat creek Santa Cruz, crossing gaps Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha.
Day 5: Taullipampa _Punta Union Pass (4750mt) _Cachinapampa at (2800mt)
This will be a long and tiring day, rising by a steep and zigzag path between the impressive Taulliraju and flanked by the turquoise lagoon of Taullicocha arrived at Punta Union (4750 m), 5 hours,
Day 6: Cachinapampa _ Colcabamba _ Avalancha at (4500mt)
Continue your descent towards the town of Vaqueria, then cut southeast on the trail at Colcabamba. Enter the Ulta valley and sleep before ascending to the second pass.
Day 7: Avalancha _ Yanayacu Pass (4850mt) _ Ulta
Hike up and over the pass then descend to a beautiful campsite on the other side. Hiking time 5 hours
Day 8: Ulta _ Return at Huaraz per vehicle private.
Day 9: Huaraz _ Collon _Base Camp Ishinca Camp at (4350mt)
Today we'll take private transport to the mouth of the Ishinca Valley and with the help of burros, travel to our base camp (4350mt).
Day 10: Base Camp Ishinca _ Summit Ishinca (5540mt) _ Base Camp
Ishinca Summit Day! Another Alpine start - 3:00am waking and leaving by4:00am. Ishinca's summit push is about 6 hours.
Day 11: Free day in Base Camp
Day 12: Base Camp Ishinca _ Camp 1 Tocllaraju at (5200mt)
Taking your essentials, you'll leave for the high glacier camp of your final mountain, Toclliaraju. It usually takes 4 hours to reach the camp at 5000 meters. Enjoy an unforgettable dinner while mezmerized by Toclliaraju’s impressive west face.
Day 13: Camp 1 Tocllaraju _ Summit Tocllaraju (6034mt) _ Base Camp
This will be a long day for the climb of Tocllaraju. Easy to moderate glacier terrain leads to the final summit pyramid where we encounter several steep snow and ice pitches up to 60 degrees that may require belaying depending on conditions.
Day 14: Base Camp _ Collon _Return to Huaraz
We trek out to Collon and then return to Huaraz.Time to relax after the climbing and celebrate. |
